How Age Calculation Is Different ?
A person's age can be counted differently in different cultures. This calculator is based on the most common age system. The age of the person increases on their birthday. For example, if a person has lived for 3 years and 11 months, their age increases to 4 one month later. This age system is used in most western countries.
In certain cultures, age is expressed through years with or excluding the current one. For instance, someone who has turned 20 is the same age as a person in their 21st year of life. In one of the Chinese traditional methods, individuals start at 1 year old at birth and grow older on the occasion of the Chinese New Year instead of their own birthday. An example could be a baby born just one day prior to this celebration coming into its second year only two days later, even though they are still very young.
How This Age Calculator Work?
The use of this age calculator can be confusing in some scenarios, specifically when the starting date is the end of a month. For instance, calculating the age from Feb. 28, 2022 to Mar. 31, 2022 can result in two potential answers. Using that Feb. 28 to Mar. 28 equals one month yields a difference of one month and three days; however, if we take into account both Feb. 28 and Mar. 31 as being the end of a particular month then the result is simply one month. Similar results can be found when examining dates such as Apr. 30 to May 31 or May 30 to June 30 due to the uneven number of days between various months - and this is why our calculations use the first method mentioned here.
